2023:
House of Butterflies* - experimental opera libretto set in 1924 at the DuPont Deep Water Plant – when lead was first introduced into petroleum. The Workers hallucinations (and subsequent deaths form lead poisoning) was why the plant was dubbed ‘The House of Butterflies’.
My Dinner with Putin - analyses the fetishising of war in democratic media and allegorises western complicity with Russian oligarchs. The allegory takes the form of the performer's real-life experience with a close friend of the Russian premiere, and how she almost had dinner with Putin.
John Johnson: Adult Human Female – a ‘farewell tour’ of the ‘iconic’ male character Pendry has been performing since 2004. The character will tour a series of performances (Oslo, Hamar, Torndheim) before killing himself. The death tour is a response to gender identity politics and how the contentious subject may be impacting freedom of expression within the performing arts.
2022:
Requiem For Elizabeth* A complex libretto set to original music by composer Marcus Paus. The work addressesthe colonialist legacy of Queen Elizabeth, and how it is possible to mourn the passing of a woman, but not of an institution. Premiered by mezzo-soprano Tora Augestad at Henie Onstad Arts Centre, Oslo.
Bløt* Choir libretto for Ensemble 96 and SISU contemporary percussion group with composer A.A. Steffensen. The piece is a gallows humour allegory for capitalism, centered around the Viking blood rituals.
The Ballad of Lovely Rita and her Crippled Boychild, Little Wolf - a new version of Ibsen’s Little Eyolf as a sprechen-sang concert with composer A.A. Steffensen merging realtime bio data and experimental music in performance. Premeire as part of the ‘Klassiske På Park [Classic at the Park] series at Parkteatret concert venue Oslo.
2021:
Iben’s Ladder - Solo theatre-installation tackling loss of faith in art and God, and the horrors of digital live (death) streaming. Inspired by the book of Revelations, Blade Runner, the Centre for Humane Techology, and the biometric data of Pendry's body translated to sound. St. James Culture Church, Oslo.
The Corona Chronicles – podcast which does what it says on the can. Prod. Seashell Media - released on Spotify.
2020:
Enemy Of The People - New music/theatre exploration of Ibsen’s classic with contemporary music ensemble Lemur. Premiered Rosendal Teater, October 2020.
The Commoners* - The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet / Hege Haagenrud. Verbatim dance theatre based on Donald Trump supporters’ dialogue.
The King Who Sold The Sea* – a full length play about the historical events of the early 18th century when King Fredrik of Denmark sold the ocean fishing rights of a small village in the north of Norway to wealthy merchants in the area.
Johnny and the Boi - collaboration with Ibrahim Fazlic. Live theatre stream for VårScene Festival.
Johnny Johnson In The House - 4 month residency at Hamar Teater with the male character ‘Johnny Johnson’, exploring contemporary social issues ranging from Thunberg to the Liberal Elite, using dark humour and satire.
The Breakdown - the Norwegian Opera and Ballet. Written with Jo Strømgren. Dance theatre piece about genetic narcissism and European history.
2015-2018:
Goodbye, America - three-part performance over three months tracking the evolution of Donald Trump’s presidency, and Europe’s relationship to the USA. Hamar Teater.
2017:
Judacia* - a commissioned work about antisemitism in Oslo during the German occupation - for Vega Scene Oslo’s polyphonic piece Haus City Vol 2.
Human Tsunami Trump: - solo theatre written and performed directly after the artist attended Donald Trump’s inauguration in Washington. Also developmed as documentary feature film (producer: Storyline Nord).

Costa Blanca* - with Kim Atle Hansen. About toxic tourism in the south of Spain. North/South polyphonic writing project, Madrid.
Soft Eye*s - site specific metric poetic theatre piece about the refugee crisis in Syria: Oslo International Acting Festival, Spkrbx hip hop theatre festival, NonStop International Theatre Festival. National tours 2016-2018.

Pendry at Aktivisten: Political spoken word performance residency at the Aktivist Kafe in Oslo throughout 2016, performing new material each month.

KONGO RE:BORN*: Imagining the last hours of Tjostolv Moland's life as a stream of consciousness. Dramatikkens Hus.
Points Of Pain: - about the terrorist attacks in Norway on the 22nd of July 2011; was premiered at the Red Zone - freedom of expression festival in Beirut and Cairo. The piece was also performed at the National Museum in Oslo. Extracts were perfomed by Utøya survivors on the 5th anniverary of 22th July, at the polyphonic at:lab event at the Arctic Arts Festival 2016.

2022-23: Norwegian Justice: [in development] A narrative single voice podcast analysing selected trials at the
Central Criminal Courts in Oslo and the Old Bailey in London.
2022: The Childrens Hour*: Radio play about demon possession for Portugese National Radio (written in two versions: English and Norwegian, translated to Portugese. A pan-European collaborative project between Aarflot Produksjoner; BIT teatergarasjen (NO), Mala Voadora Theatre; Teatro nacional DM II (PT) og Icelandic Broadcasting Corporation (IS).
2020-21: Kate Pendry’s Corona Chronicles: An apposite single voice narrative podcast of weekly 30-minute episodes that maps the social and emotional territories of the Corona pandemic. The podcast functions as a diary of events, and the content has been gathered since 12th March. Using both humour and a cultural materialist approach Pendry examines the macro issues (economy, mental health, class differences, domestic violence increases) as well as the micro (sex in the time of Corona, toilet paper hoarding, and the joys (and horrors) of ‘living room’ concerts.
2015: Anglo-nordic noir black-comedy series: Oppdrag Renhold* (Operation Cleanup) for NRK P2 (Norwegian National Broadcasting); 6 episodes á 15 minutes each, about a middle-aged immigrant cleaning lady who murders the 'rats' she is employed by.

Within the electronic art field has exhibited at the National Gallery (Oslo) 2005; the Melbourne Biennale ’99; Kunstnerneshus Oslo (Detox 99 Eon 97,); ‘Electra 96’ at Henie-Onstad Art Centre; The 5th International Biennale in Istanbul; DEAF; exhibited/toured with Riksutstillinger (National Touring Exhibitions) 1999-2000, The National Theatre Oslo - 2009. Is a featred artist in EK – elektroniske kunst I Norge 1960-2020 / EK – the history of electronic art in Norway 2960-2020 (TEKSpress 2021)
Noted pieces include Charlie Pendry’s Talking Heads (1999) - an extensive video art piece containing multiple characters from the 20th century - all written and performed by Pendry (National Touring Exhibitions Norway)
2002: co-curator STUNT CLUB exhibition in Oslo featuring over 70 international artists during a 6-week period. Sole curator of Cunt Club – feminist satellite project.
2008: NORWEGIAN GOOD – Kate Pendry retrospective. Kunstbanken Hamar dedicated the house to this exhibition including documentations of significant works, live performances, remixes of Pendry works by other artists (notably Kim Atle Hansen and Sons Of Liberty), and an extensive catalogue with essays and interviews.
2013: co-curator “Free the Arts” RED ZONE international freedom of expression festival featuring artists from 12 countries in the Arab regions: Kulturkirken Jakob.
2024: Curator - Trass [Defiance] project with St James’ Culture Church, Oslo. A wideranging festival of visual and performance art, film and lectures looking at the history of black humour in war time, from World War 2 to the invasion of Ukraine.

2019- to present: Member of Atlungstad Summer Theatre ensemble - playing yearly open air Shakepseare by Lake Mjøsa.
2010 - to present: Member of the Winter Guests ensemble, regular productions at the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, and abroad. Most recently as Queen Elizabeth 1st in The Hamlet Complex – DNOB main stage (2018-2022).
